3 - Early magic
Riyad Mahrez has already bedazzled the Burton backline here at a sundrenched Pirelli Stadium. Soon after, skipper Wes
Morgan is forced to concede a corner but it comes to nothing for the hosts.
7 - Chilwell on the gallop A lovely burst down the left by Chilwell carves open the Burton defence but his cross is gathered well by 'keeper Bywater.
10 - Dyer active It's a sight the Blue Army know well: Dyer running full tilt.
That equation had to be solved by City's Amartey at right back and the Ghana defender didn't disappoint, collecting the ball and getting it forward quickly
13 - Chilwell close
James picks up possession in the middle and spots Chilwell making a smart run in the box.
Unluckily for the England U21s man, his header loops over the crossbar. Almost!
17 - Akpan puts Burton ahead Akins plays a tidy ball across goal from the right and Akpan heads it back the other way, beyond Jakupović and into the bottom corner.
19 - Morgan mops up
More good play from Lund on the right flank allows him to find Akpan in the middle... The athletic striker would have doubled both his and Burton's tally if not for a brilliant intervention from Morgan to put it behind for a corner.
22 - City on the ball Shakespeare's side are getting a feel for the ball here in Staffordshire after going behind, knocking it around nicely and waiting for an opening.
25 - Ulloa denied
A fine, flowing move from the Foxes sees James spread it out wide to Mahrez. The Algerian then locates - and finds - Ulloa in the middle but the forward's header is straight at Bywater. Saved
29 - It's two Burton double their advantage just as City were gathering steam with Akins fortuitously seizing the ball in the area and sliding it past Jakupović. Calls for offside go ignored by the linesman. 2-0 to the hosts.
34 - Nice link-up Musa's trickery on the left has Burton scrambling to recover. He crosses for James, who tries an audacious volley, but the midfielder scuffs it wide.
38 - Free-kick City Ulloa is bundled to the deck right on the edge of Burton's area. Free-kick. Mahrez and James over it...
39 - Over It's Mahrez who takes it and, to the relief of the locals here, it glides narrowly over Bywater's crossbar.
43 - Jakupovic collects Palmer manages to plot a way through but it ricochets into the City 'keeper's gloves.

45 - Back away We're back on here in Staffordshire. Can the Foxes overturn the scores? With Mahrez, Ulloa and Musa on the pitch, there's no reason why not...
45 - Maguire on Just the one change for City at the break. On comes new signing Maguire, in place of Morgan.
47 - King! Wonderful play by Mahrez on the right wing! He cuts inside his man, ghosts into the area and finds King at the back post. A Burton man is there to deny the Welshman though. So close for City!

Ulloa cushions the ball into Musa but he can't keep it down. All Leicester since the restart.

That could so easily have been City's first. Mahrez's corner is perfect for Ulloa. The Argentine just can't get enough on it.

Gray finds Musa at the far post, whose header forces Bywater to knock it behind for a corner. King then scrapes the crossbar with a deft header of his own.
Surely only a matter of time now for Shakespeare's men.

The play leading up to it may have been scruffy, but there was nothing wrong with that effort from Maguire!
The new City centre back lashes it into the net with his left foot!

69 - Ndidi on Off comes James after another impressive shift. Nigerian middle man Ndidi is his replacement at Pirelli Stadium.
73 - Burton denied The locals are on their feet celebrating what they think is Burton's third... Naylor has the ball in the net, but the linesman's flag is up. As you were.
75 - Another change Benalouane is the latest City face to take a seat on the bench with young Foxes defender Johnson getting his chance to shine.
A reckless challenge and Benalouane is off down the tunnel as Shakespeare is ordered to take him off

77 - Hamer to the rescue What a save! Hamer gets a hand to Warnock's powerful drive. That looked destined to ripple in the back of the net. A brilliant stop!
81 - Gray knocks at the door There's nothing Warnock can do to stop Gray as he charges through the hosts' defence and lashes an effort inches wide of the near post!
83 - Chilwell just wide It's one-way traffic in Burton at the moment. This time it's Chilwell who goes close, arrowing it the wrong side of Bywater's left post after an intrepid gallop into the box.
84 - Ndukwu for King City Academy product Ndudwu is on for King. The skilful winger impressed for the Development Squad last term. He also won the Goal of the Season award for an effort from the half-way line!

The Leicester-born defender bursts through and goes for goal! It takes a deflection and almost wrong-foots Bywater in the Burton net!
The host 'keeper did well to get that one away. So close for City...
