Can's first two crosses are blocked but the German international is allowed a third attempt, which Schmeichel holds well.

First attempt of the game for City sees Vardy break the offside trap and force Mignolet into a stop at his front post, before Mahrez turns the rebound over. Close!

The Leicester captain stands strong to usher the ball out of play as Firmino attempts to regain possession.

Ndidi wins it off Coutinho and Simpson looks to put the ball forward early. Vardy can't get onto it, but it was the right idea.

Best chance of the game so far as Can rattles the base of the post before Salah side-foots the rebound wide. Let off.

The Egyptian arrives late at the back post to head home past Schmeichel, who got a hand to it, but couldn't prevent Liverpool from taking the lead.

Vardy races in to force Mignolet into a hurried clearance. It falls to Okazaki, who is denied by the Liverpool stopper.

Morgan, up from a free kick, stays in the box and Vardy delivers from the right, but Liverpool manage to scramble the ball away.

The Japan striker fires past Mignolet after a Maguire knockdown, but he's flagged offside. Looks close.

The Liverpool No.9 fires across the face of goal, as Coutinho arrives late at the back post. Phew.

Albrighton swings in a cross hoping to find Vardy or Okazaki, but Mignolet comes out to collect.

Mignolet goes the right way and makes a good save to turn away the striker's penalty. Unlucky, Vards!

Huge shift from the frontman. He's replaced by Iheanacho with just over 15 minutes to play...
